Privacy Policy
Effective Date: 08/05/2025
This Privacy Policy explains how Daily Selfie ("Daily Selfie", "we", "our", "us") collects, uses, discloses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application on Android and iOS (the "App").
By installing, accessing, or using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Who We Are
Daily Selfie is a mobile app that helps you capture daily selfies, organize them into collections, and generate videos (including AI-powered morph and timelapse videos) from your photos.
2. Age Requirements
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13. If you are under 13, you may not use the App. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
3. Information We Collect
3.1 Photos, Videos & Camera/Storage Access
The App requests access to your camera and device storage to allow you to:
Take daily selfies and other photos
Import photos from your gallery
Edit photos and apply filters
Create timelapse and AI-morph videos
By default, your photos and generated videos are stored locally on your device.
We do not access or upload your photos and videos to our servers unless you:
Sign in and enable sync/backup, or
Explicitly choose a feature that requires uploading to our servers (e.g., server-side video generation or cloud backup).
3.2 Cloud Sync, Backup & Video Generation (Optional)
Some features, such as cloud backup, multi-device sync, and certain video generation/template features, require processing on our servers.
If you sign in and enable cloud-related features, we may store:
Copies of selected photos and generated videos
Metadata such as timestamps, collection names, and video settings
For AI-based and server-side video generation, your selected photos and the resulting videos may be temporarily processed and stored on our servers so we can generate and deliver the video to you.
We do not use your photos or videos for training public AI models, advertising, or selling to third parties.
3.3 Account & Authentication Information
When you create an account or sign in (e.g., with Apple, Google, or email/password), we may collect:
Name or display name
Email address
Authentication tokens or identifiers
Subscription status (Free / Pro), plan type, renewal info
Time zone and App settings (e.g., reminder time, theme choice)
3.4 Subscription & Purchase Information
We use the billing systems provided by:
Google Play Store (Android)
Apple App Store (iOS)
These platforms process your payment information. We do not receive or store your full credit card number or bank details.
We may receive and store:
A purchase token / transaction ID
Product ID (e.g., subscription plan)
Subscription status (active, expired, trial, etc.)
to verify your entitlement to Pro features, remove ads, and manage your subscription across devices.
3.5 Device & Technical Data
We may automatically collect certain technical information, such as:
Device model and operating system version
App version and build number
Language and time zone
Crash logs and error reports
Performance metrics (e.g., loading times, failed uploads)
3.6 Usage & Analytics Data
We may collect anonymous or pseudonymous usage data to understand how the App is used and to improve it, such as:
Which features are used (camera, filters, video types, collections, etc.)
Frequency of app usage and session duration
Non-personal statistics about photos and videos (e.g., count, resolution), not their content
This may be collected via analytics and crash reporting tools (for example, Firebase Analytics/Crashlytics or similar).
3.7 Notifications & Identifiers
To send you push notifications (e.g., daily selfie reminders, video completion alerts, subscription updates), we use identifiers like Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) tokens or platform-specific push tokens.
You can turn off notifications at any time in your device settings.
3.8 Advertising Identifiers
For ads (see Section 5), our partners (such as Google AdMob) may use device identifiers like:
Google Advertising ID (on Android)
IDFA or equivalent (on iOS)
These identifiers can be used for frequency capping, fraud detection, and (depending on your consent and device settings) personalized advertising.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
To provide core App features: taking selfies, organizing collections, editing photos, and generating videos
To enable cloud backup, cross-device sync, and restoring your data (when enabled)
To perform server-side processing for AI morph and template-based videos
To maintain your account, subscription status, and Pro/Free feature access
To send reminders, video completion alerts, and other App-related notifications

To display and measure the effectiveness of advertising (for Free users)
To comply with legal obligations and protect our rights
5. Advertising (AdMob & Other Providers)
Daily Selfie uses Google AdMob and possibly other advertising networks to display ads to Free plan users.
These ad providers may collect information such as device identifiers, IP address, approximate location, and in-app events to:
Deliver ads
Limit how often you see the same ad
Detect fraud and abuse
Measure ad performance
We do not share your photos, videos, or the content of your media with advertisers.
You can manage personalized advertising preferences (e.g., via Google Ads Settings or device settings).

Payments are handled by the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store.
We do not store your full payment card details.
We store limited purchase and subscription information (such as a purchase token and expiry date) to:
Verify that your subscription is valid
Enable or disable Pro features
Restore purchases when you reinstall or switch devices
You can manage or cancel your subscription through your Google Play or Apple ID account settings.
7. Data Storage & Retention
7.1 On Your Device
Your photos and videos are primarily stored on your device’s local storage.
You can delete any photo or video at any time using the App or your device gallery.
7.2 On Our Servers (Cloud & Video Processing)
If you enable sync/backup, your selected photos, videos, and related metadata are stored on our secure servers so they can be synced across devices and restored.
For server-side video generation (including templates and AI morphing), your photos and generated videos may be stored for as long as necessary to:
Generate, process, and deliver your video
Allow you to access and re-download the video
Maintain your video library (if this feature is enabled)
If you delete your account or specific content from within the App, we will take reasonable steps to remove such data from our active systems within a commercially reasonable time, subject to technical and legal limitations.
